Why 12 Sports?
My birthday is 12/12, my longtime broadcast partner Geoff Gilbert was also born 12/12. We cover sports 12 months a year. The 12 major sports are Baseball, Football, Basketball, Boxing, Hockey, Skiing, Golf, Tennis, Volleyball, Surfing, Auto Racing, and Horse Racing. Geoff and I co-hosted SPORTSTALK on several Monterey Bay area radio stations during the 1980s. While I now promote Professional boxing and broadcast sports on the air and on this website, Gilbert, who is an NBA junkie has developed a website that pays tribute to the splendors of our home area Santa Cruz. Geoff now incorporates his sportswriting into photography at www.sunrisesantacruz.com/blog.
